The real concept behind the Jade X was to offer a coil that still retained some of the best attributes of an air shock—pedaling efficiency and "on the fly" quick adjustments. Since there were fewer external adjustments, we really had to nail the compression and rebound tune. For this, we created a brand new high-flow piston to allow for more shims to control precise points of the stroke. The rebound and compression damping get strong where you need it and back off in situations where the wheel needs to move quick. The high/low-speed compression and rebound now work dynamically to provide great support, control, and zero packing on high-speed chatter. The end result is the most versatile coil shock option on the market. The next generation Topaz 3 is designed to meet the grueling demands of the modern rider with a 27% stronger inner shaft. The new housing is designed around a transverse reservoir layout to aid in oil flow and achieve more frame clearance. The updated bladder system provides unmatched small bump sensitivity that’s externally tunable thanks to the T3 compression, dynamic rebound, positive and negative volume adjustment, and adjustable bladder pressure. The shock comes in its own reusable carrying case, and includes a shock pump and quick-clip volume spacers. - T3 Compression for 3 quick compression settings for whatever terrain lays ahead. This rear damper is loaded with the adjustability you need to tailor rear suspension characteristics to your riding style, bike, and local trails. An extensive tuning range includes high- and low-speed compression and high- and low-speed rebound. Where does the Double Barrel name come from? Cane Creek's Double Barrel technology circulates oil continuously through the valving to achieve highly controllable, independent damping for both compression and rebound strokes so the shock retains its plushness and sensitivity from the top to the bottom of the trail, no matter how long the descent.

DBcoil IL is the lightest weight coil shock on the market, while using 40-50% more damper oil compared to other shocks in its class.
